GLOBAL SPIN AWARDS — Farnaz Taher

The Global Spin Awards (GSA) is a prestigious ceremony dedicated to recognizing the artistry and skill of DJs from around the globe. It is a platform where the craft of DJing is celebrated, and artists from Calvin Harris to DJ Mustard are honored for their contributions. As the creative director, I was at the helm of bringing the stage to life with a 25-foot DJ booth centerpiece that also functioned as an LCD screen, magnifying the presence of the DJs and enhancing the visual experience of their performances.

For the GSA's 30-second broadcast promo, the aim was to encapsulate the show's essence while spotlighting iconic participants like Dave Chappelle, Swizz Beatz, and Timbaland. My role extended to developing a comprehensive graphics package used throughout the broadcast and in-house production, ensuring a consistent and polished look that reflected the show's high energy and prestige.

Designing the video performance backgrounds was a particularly notable aspect, allowing me to contribute visually to performances by legendary artists such as Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris, and Puff Daddy. My responsibilities covered the full spectrum of the event's branding, from crafting the brand identity and graphics package to designing the experiential and set elements. I collaborated closely with the show's producers to synchronize the visual assets with the run of the show, creating tailored assets for each segment.

Additionally, I produced promotional materials for the event's lead-up and follow-up, managed social media content, and delivered a complete broadcast graphics package for the network. My work ensured that every visual touchpoint, whether on-site or online, resonated with the GSA's mission to honor the world's top DJs.
